Postmenopause

Every year after the menopause day — on average a third of life. The symptomatic storm usually fades; the strategic phase begins: bones, heart, brain, muscle, and tissue are now maintained by choice, not by default.

The postmenopause priorities

1) Bone: strength training + impact + vitamin D/K2 + protein (see K2); dexa scan by 65, earlier with risk factors. 2) Heart: the risk curve steepens here — lipids, blood pressure, and insulin sensitivity deserve annual attention. 3) Muscle: the strongest predictor of healthy longevity; lift things forever. 4) Brain: aerobic exercise, sleep, and social connection are the protective triad. 5) Vaginal tissue: progressive without treatment — the moisturizer/local estrogen conversation is early, not late.

The good news nobody delivers

Post-menopausal women consistently report higher well-being than during the transition — the storm passes. Quality of life after 50 is less about hormones lost and more about the habits built: this is the decade to build them.
